What do “The Bums” believe?

Who are “The Bums?”

We are your locally-owned Jamba franchisee! Created by our fearless leaders John and Steve in 1989, our company name is The Cinnamon Bums, Inc., and we affectionately refer to ourselves as The Bums. We now own and operate 20 Jamba stores throughout Oregon and SW Washington.

What do we believe in?

Our mission statement is Leave Your Mark ™. As The Bums, we live and breathe Leave your Mark. It’s not just something we print in our employee handbook or on the back off our business cards. We aim to leave our mark with our guest interactions, in our business, and even in our personal lives.

What does it mean to “leave your mark?”

Let’s break it down: “Leave” means to remain over time, “Your” means it belongs to you, and “Mark” means your report card or track record. It means you are choosing to do the right thing rather than the easy thing. It means you alone have ownership over your own actions and reputation. It means you have the responsibility to determine whether you have a positive impact on your community.

How do The Bums leave their mark?

It means we smile and greet you when you walk in the door. It means if you don’t like your smoothie then we’ll make you a new one. It means we support local elementary schools by dressing up in our Banana-man outfits, handing out smoothies, and running alongside the students. It means we’ve raised more than $100,000 for National Breast Cancer Foundation and more than $1.3 million to the Portland-based Meals on Wheels People. On that note, if you do not feel like we are leaving our mark – please tell us! We always want you to know you are a valued guest, and your feedback is important!

How will you leave your mark?

As a valued guest, we invite you to live our mission statement as well. Choose the right way versus the easy way. Own your actions and the impact you have on others. And make sure when you’re leaving your mark that you make it a good one – one to be remembered by.
